Buying and dressing responsibly is hard even when you're not a mama, let alone when you're in charge of the wardrobe of a whole new person besides yourself. So, sartorial snob decided to do some digging so that you don't have to:

The LA-based mother of making sustainable fashion cool has branched out into childrenswear AKA "Ref Little". Dinky dresses in vibrant prints and the a-line cut so typical to Reformation, are on offer with matching dresses for Mama too. Although limited edition just for Mother's Day, we are sure this won't be the last we see of the Little collection.

Made in the UK and Oeko-Tex certified, the two lovely ladies behind Tobias and the Bear make some wickedly cool and comfortable clothes. No sickly-sweet prints here.

This eclectic brand is handmade in Hackney. Bright colours and prints are inspired by more vibrant times of the past, with primary-colour dungarees, teal cape coats and gingham smock dresses all featuring in their SS17 collection.

This Brooklyn-based brand is as responsible as they come. All clothes are made in Brooklyn and sustainable materials are sourced from Japan or Europe, with any surplus upcycled or recycled. The clothes are also so cute they will make your heart melt.

100% organic fabrics in the a colour palette of mustard, dark green, grey and cream makes Gray Label the place to shop if you're a self-confessed minimalist. This Amsterdam-based brand has all bases covered ranging from newborns to eight years.
